Hot, cold, iced, shaken, stirred, blended, steamed...are you getting thirsty? This summer while you're resting in the shade, laying in the sun, or in the basement organizing your VHS tapes, put one of these songs on and...ahhhh. Relax.

Songs of Spring (Cleaning)

    Spring…has sprung.🌷 You’ve heard the birds chirping outside of your window…the perennials poking up out of the dirt to say hey hey hey…and with all this sunshine you’re noticing…it sure is dusty around here! So get your rags, your soap, your kneepads on and listen to your song of spring (cleaning). Do you need sonic motivation to get up and moving? Your song of spring (cleaning) is La Passion by Gigi D’Agostino. This song is for those that love that Euro sound and lively beat. The song is great from the start but at the 3 minute mark thinks get taken up a notch. Nice and long (7 minutes 30 seconds), perfect when you’re on the floor scrubbing and you can’t get up to change a song.

 

 

    If you’re any angry cleaner, listen no further than What Have You Done For Me Lately by Janet Jackson. Ask your surfaces this questions while you dust them. Tell your toilet bowl, “You ought to be grateful!” “Ain’t that a shame?” while you empty the vacuum. Do what you gotta do.

 

    If you’re a wistful dreamer, put on One Day I’ll Fly Away by Randy Crawford. Embrace the dreams. Don’t stop believing and keep dreaming while you’re brooming the kitchen.

 

If you have to get stuff done outdoors, Madame Sheryl Crow is your woman. The song “My Favorite Mistake” is it for outdoor cleaning/work. Her sweet voice and guitar will carry its way across the lawn to you while you're pulling weeds or cleaning out the gutters. The squirrels will like it too.

Just as your eyes are immediately drawn to Amy Adam’s luscious red locks, sparkling voice, and beaming face on screen, they are drawn to the eye-catching orange centers of sliced, de-crusted pimiento cheese sandwiches on a platter at the appetizer table. Vibrant and fiery, yet comforting and familiar. They both deserve Oscars.

Cameron Diaz- "McRib"

Just as the MicRib is currently not on the menu at your friendly neighborhood McDonalds, Cameron Diaz is currently retired from movie making. However, their all-American appeal is timeless. And they both make you want to watch The Mask. I’m lovin it.
